The spark - 2019
In search for answers for his own health challenges, Alex is introduced to Reinest through a mutual friend. Reinest’s holistic, proactive and deeply personalised approach was unlike anything Alex has encountered. For the first time, he understood what was actually driving his health, saw real improvements, and felt genuine confidence in his long-term health.
The decision - 2024
Over the following years, Alex and Reinest stay in touch. Reinest continues working with Alex on his health, and a genuine friendship forms. As AI begins to transform what is possible in health and medicine, their conversations keep returning to the same idea: what if everyone could have a Reinest in their corner? In late 2024, they decide to find out.
Completing the team - 2025
After meeting more than 40 potential technical co-founders, Alex is introduced to Ben. Quickly it becomes clear that Ben is the right person. After two months getting to know each other and spending time with Reinest, all three commit to leaving their current roles and projects and start building Calibre full-time.
Launching Calibre - 2026
Over the past year, a passionate team of clinicians, designers, and builders comes together around Alex, Reinest, and Ben. Working hand in hand with early members who helped shape the product, they deepen their understanding of what people truly need from their health. Today, Calibre opens its doors. We want you to be a part of shaping the era that starts when the health guesswork ends.

In his formative years as competitive swimmer, Alex would learn both discipline and resilience, while adopting early health consciousness, eventually leading to him becoming youth national champion in Austria. Upon leaving the sport after a decade, Alex would graduate in the top 1% of his International Business degree at Vienna University of Economics and Business. He then joined the digital bank, N26, as one of their first team members, rising to Chief Growth Officer where he led international expansion across 24 markets as well as Global Marketing. He later invested in and advised early-stage startups with Sequoia and was Chief of Staff at Gousto. Driven by his personal health and performance journey, Alex founded Calibre to empower millions of people to live their healthiest lives and end the health guesswork for good.
